Haikus

A new age that sprouts
From the ruins of dark ages
A revolution

The Sistine Chapel
Michelangelo's great work
Sullenly painted

Medici family
Godfathers of Renaissance
Name brings resentment

Forced to deny truth
Or accept consequences
Catholic church rules

Florence, a city
of patronage and patrons
Beautiful

  1. Although the poems are short, I like how they are all related to each other.

  2. Although the haiku's are only 17 syllables each, I like how they fit together in a sequential way.

  3. Although this a haiku poem, its a really good poem I like how you did the Medici family part.

  4. While most people view the Sistine Chapel in awe, you accurately point out the sadness of the artist.
